The Glen Eira Artists Society (GEAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant artistic community within the Glen Eira region. Established in 2009 through the initiative of the Rotary Club of Caulfield, GEAS addresses the need for a local art-focused organization, providing a platform for artists to connect, collaborate, and enhance their skills in a supportive environment.

Mission and Objectives
GEAS aims to promote art within the community by offering opportunities for artists, ranging from beginners to established professionals, to engage in various artistic endeavors. The society’s objectives include facilitating regular classes, organizing exhibitions, and conducting events that encourage artistic growth and community engagement.
Activities and Programs
Life Drawing Sessions: GEAS conducts weekly life drawing sessions with professional models, including monthly tutored classes. These sessions provide artists with the opportunity to refine their skills in a practical setting. Held during school terms, the sessions take place on Monday nights from 7–9 pm at the Scout Hall, Birch Street, Caulfield South. Easels are provided; participants need to bring their own paper and drawing materials.
En Plein Air Painting: Members can participate in outdoor painting sessions, allowing them to capture the natural beauty of various locations while interacting with fellow artists.
Studio Art Classes: Regular classes with experienced teachers are available, catering to different skill levels and artistic interests.
Portraiture Workshops: Specialized workshops focused on portrait painting and drawing are organized periodically, offering artists a chance to delve deeper into this genre.
Exhibitions and Events
GEAS holds an annual exhibition at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery, showcasing a diverse range of artworks, including landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and urban scenes. This event celebrates the creative talent within the community and provides members with the opportunity to exhibit their work to the public.
