Previously, at Caulfield Racecourse there had been a Caulfield Farmers Market which has ceased operation and closed in Dec 2016. Not to be confused with the former, a new management has started up a Community Market in the same area.

Planning for the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Community Market began mid 2022 by the Caulfield Rotary Club, District 9800 and the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust.

All the donation monies collected by Rotary and proceeds of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Community Market stall hire go toward local and international Rotary projects.

In summary:
“Give yourself the pleasure of visiting the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Community Market; we cannot recommend it enough! The sheer variety and quality of stalls, from local fresh produce to handcrafted items, baked goods, boutique brewers and delectable hot food, make it a haven for anyone seeking a diverse market experience.

The market’s convenient 9 am to 2 pm operating hours cater to both early birds and late risers, providing an ideal spot for brunch and lunch seekers. What’s even better is that admission is free, making it an accessible and budget-friendly outing for everyone.

Accessibility is a breeze with the market easily reachable by public transport, and the ample free parking on-site, including designated spaces for disabled individuals and parents with prams, ensures a hassle-free visit.

Nestled in a heritage-protected reserve, the market site boasts the beauty of its surroundings, allowing visitors to enjoy the flora and fauna around the main lake. The inclusive policy of welcoming dogs on lead, with a designated off-lead area, adds an extra layer of charm for pet owners.

For those planning a family picnic, the reserve provides amenities and facilities, and the newly added Disk Golf course offers a unique outdoor experience, catering to Australia’s fastest-growing sport.

Located just under 12 km from Melbourne CBD, this market not only provides a delightful experience but also contributes to the community. Run by Caulfield Rotary, the proceeds benefit the Reserve, local charities, community groups, and Rotary international projects. It’s a win-win all around!”
