Volunteer fundraising opportunities at Caulfield Food & Craft Market
Local community groups, clubs and non-profit organisations are invited to partner with the volunteers of the Caulfield Food & Craft Market through a rewarding fundraising opportunity at one of the leading Melbourne Sunday markets.
The Caulfield Rotary Club is seeking volunteer groups to assist with the operation of the monthly market, held on the first Sunday of each month at Caulfield Commons (at Caulfield Racecourse Reserve).
This opportunity is ideal for:
- Community organisations
- Sporting clubs
- Youth groups
- School groups
- Service clubs
- Other not-for-profit organisations seeking fundraising support
Groups generally consist of approximately 4–5 volunteers and can assist in one of two shifts during market day.
Morning shift (approximately 6:30am–10:30am)
Volunteers assist with:
- Directing stallholders to their allocated sites
- Setting out traffic marker cones
- Assisting with vehicle parking direction
- Counting visitor attendance using supplied clickers
- Setting out rubbish bins
Second shift (approximately 10:30am–2:30pm)
Volunteers assist with:
- Continuing parking assistance
- Continuing visitor counting
- Monitoring rubbish bins and replacing as needed
- General market clean-up during the event
- Assisting with Rotary stall pack-up and ensuring the market area is left tidy
The work is not physically demanding and is well suited to young adults and community groups who enjoy engaging with people in a friendly and active environment. Stall maps, lists and guidance are provided to all volunteer teams.
Volunteer groups are usually scheduled approximately one month in advance, however preference may be available for organisations seeking particular months.
